Pope FrancisOn Friday, Pope Francis expressed his sadness over the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
In a letter written by the 84-year-old Pope and sent to an Arab channel on the occasion of the end of the month of Ramadan, and published by the Vatican, Pope Francis said“I feel sad because of the conflict between Palestine and Israel.”
He added: "Let the shooting stop immediately in the Gaza Strip, where a humanitarian catastrophe is occurring, and let aid reach the Palestinian population who is suffering horribly, and let the hostages who were kidnapped in October be released."
Moreover, the Pope touched on suffering in Syria, Lebanon, and the entire Middle East.
