Pope Francis congratulated Muslims around the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, calling for peace in Palestine and Ukraine.
Francis said,"Let the hostilities that cause enormous suffering among the civilian population stop as soon as possible.”
The Pope expressed his support for the people of Haiti amid a new escalation in violence in the Caribbean country, saying, "I am following with concern and sadness the serious crisis affecting Haiti and the violent events that have occurred in recent days."
