An opinion poll conducted by the Kanter Institute and published by the official Israeli channel Kan showed that about half of Israelis oppose the judicial reform planned by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, compared to only a third who support it.

According to the poll, 50% said they oppose judicial reform, while only 28% said they support it.

And 23% of those surveyed said they did not make up their minds yet.

Of those who voted for coalition parties, 63% said they supported judicial reform, and 15% opposed it.

The survey found that the vast majority supports dialogue before the coalition government proceeds to push the amendments to a vote.

Earlier, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called for more dialogue between the Israeli right and left, warning that the state was slipping towards a major social and constitutional crisis.
