A new poll conducted by the British company "YouGov", which specializes in market research, revealed that the percentage of Britons who want to return to the European Union (EU) has increased for the first time in seven years since the Brexit referendum.
According to the British newspaper (The Guardian) today, Friday, both the British and the Europeans also believe that the return of the United Kingdom (UK) to the European Union (EU) has become more likely, while the British respondents are more optimistic about the future of the bloc to the extent of trusting the European Commission more than their government.
The latest poll to track Britain's exit from the European Union found that 58.2% of respondents would now vote for Britain to join the European Union again, representing an increase from the previous year 2021, when the percentage of "Brexit" supporters was 47%.
Britain's confidence in the future of the EU also increased significantly for the first time, as 41% of respondents said they were optimistic about the prospects for the bloc, while 36% expressed pessimism.
The poll indicated that the most surprising thing is that the data showed that 25% of respondents trust the European Commission more than they trust the UK government.
