Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that Ukraine should be offered a speedy NATO membership process, according to Canadian TV CBC.
He added: We must prepare for long-term support for Ukraine because it is making huge efforts to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and it is also fighting for our stability and peace in Europe.
Morawiecki noted that although Ukraine is not part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) today, it is fighting for it by defending itself against Russia, which threatens many NATO countries.
The Polish official stressed that «the security of the eastern side of NATO at present is the most sensitive point and the most important aspect of the security of the entire region because of the threats posed by Russia.
