The Polish Armed Forces Operations Command announced the deployment of Polish and allied aircraft in the country's airspace early this morning following Russian missile strikes on Ukraine.

In a statement posted on social media, the Operations Command stated that Polish and allied aircraft are currently operating in Polish airspace, potentially leading to increased noise levels, particularly in the southeastern part of the country, which borders Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that Russia had no intentions of attacking any NATO member states, including Poland, the Baltic states, or the Czech Republic.

However, he warned that if the West supplied Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, Russian forces would take action against them.

Putin emphasized that the provision of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine would not alter the battlefield situation and that Russian forces would destroy the aircraft, similar to their current actions against tanks, armored vehicles, and missile launchers.

He further stated that if the aircraft were launched from a third-country airport, they would be considered legitimate targets for Russian forces.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that F-16 aircraft were expected to arrive in Ukraine in the coming months.
