On Sunday, the closing ceremony of Tokyo Olympic Games for 2020 took place. The program saw a limited attendance due to the horrifying spread of COVID-19 in Japan, especially in the capital. Participants and VIP persons only had the right to attend the event.

Next, several artistic and entertaining performances were organized during the ceremony such as a number of Japanese folk music segments.

In addition, the event saw the decline of the Olympic Games flag, and the rise of France's flag as it will host the upcoming edition of the games in Paris.

Moreover, the French representatives officially received the Olympic flag as a sign for passing the responsibility of the upcoming edition to France.

The shows were full of energy and hope, especially, the final children show that insisted the necessity of holding on to hope during dark times.

Alongside the shows that took place in Tokyo, there was another event organized in Paris by French fans and athletes who did a wonderful performance calling audience for getting ready for Paris 2024 with the presence of France's President Emmanuel Macron.

Finally, the ceremony was concluded with extinguishing the Olympic flames and fireworks show.

It is worthy to mention that the Tokyo games took place between July 23 to August 8.
