White salts of the Port Fouad salt pans make it look like beautiful snowy mountains in the northern end of the Suez Canal from far away. Some parts of the Port Said salt pans look like ice domes.

Lately, incredible footage has been captured of the salt mountains of Port Said showing Egyptian citizens frolicking in snowy landscapes and sliding down icy mountains.

On this basis, the stunning salt mountains of Port Fouad have become a tourist destination after snaps of people sliding down them went viral. Egyptians have been flocking to the unique spot from various parts of the country to enjoy the scenery, according to international reports.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Wardani, a young Egyptian photographer recommended visiting the Salt Mountains during winter to evoke a real winter vibe.

In the same context, the talented photographer explained that sitting on the salt pulls negative energy out of the body, which makes visiting them physiotherapy sessions that treat diseases.

"It looks like real snow. When we post our snaps online, people from outside of Port Said think we have traveled to a place where it is snowing. It is a very lovely place," Samer Hamdy, an Egyptian student said.

In fact, sea water erosion caused some stunning patterns on the salt dome. It can be also called as one of the most beautiful geo-morphological erosion creations.

Moreover, the salt which makes up the ice domes is harvested when seawater collected in pools at Port Fouad evaporates in sunlight.
