The health authorities in the Philippines recorded 24 cases of cholera, including two deaths, in the Negros Occidental Province, making it the most affected area in the Philippines.

According to the Philippine network "ABS-CBN" today, Saturday, the provincial health office in the Philippines said there have been no cases of the disease in the country since 2019, but the provincial government recorded the first cases last January.

Local government units were ordered to form committees to monitor the quality of food and drinking water as part of the measures taken to combat the disease, and the province is also monitoring the emergence of cases of typhoid fever.
