PepsiCo, CARE To Launch "SFtW" Conference in Cairo

PepsiCo Egypt and CARE in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity will launch the "She Feeds the World" conference on October 26 in Cairo.

The event's agenda will focus on the role of the public and private sectors in empowering women and improving nutritional well-being, as well as recommendation and actions regarding the implementation of She Feeds the World Egypt (SFtW) program in Egypt and globally, while also announcing the launch of "Masr Tazra3" initiative in 2020

The event will witness a speech by the Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Waly. Other panelists will include PepsiCo Egypt CEO Mohamed Shelbaya, CARE Egypt Country Director Hazem Fahmy, Senior Vice President of Communications, Public Policy & Government Affairs Krista Pilot, United Nations World Food Programme Country Director Menghestab Haile, CSR Professor for the Master program at the American University in Cairo Khaled Abdelhalim, Executive Director of MSME Nevine Gamea, Director, Policy & Coordination Unit for Women in Ministry of Agriculture Hoda Raouf, as well as Vargas PepsiCo Foundation Silvia Cruz, and Director of Agriculture and Natural Resources at CARE Egypt Marwa Hussein.

This partnership program is part of a wider effort by PepsiCo to support a more sustainable food system by empowering women in the agricultural supply chain, including sustainable farming multi-sector agricultural programs, currently operating in 38 countries.
