PeopletoPeople Video Wins UNWTO Destination Marketing Award

The UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) picked on Thursday PeopleToPeople promotional video as the best promotion footage in the Middle East region. 

The newly-released video, which is co-produced by the Tourism Ministry and Beautiful Destinations, won the UNWTO Destination Marketing Award. 

This came during Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat's participation in the 23rd session of the UNWTO General Assembly, held in Saint Petersburg, Russia. 

Commenting on the winning, Al-Mashat tweeted: "Congratulations to #Egypt, for winning the @UNWTO Destination Marketing Award for #PeopleToPeople. Very proud... as this is a true testament to the power of people, creating experiences that connect human-to-human from #Egypt to the world. Congratulations!"

The campaign video highlights different experiences that Egypt offers in gastronomy, culture, and various activities through its people.

It highlights the fact that beyond Egypt's known destinations, landmarks, and year-round sunshine. The footage also awakens the senses of visitors, not only through its places but through its people as well. 

The campaign is a part of the third pillar “Promotion & Marketing” of the Egypt-Tourism Reform Program (E-TRP), launched November 2018.

It aims at portraying Egypt not only as a contemporary and prime touristic destination but also sheds light on the persity of the Egyptian people.

PeopleToPeople uses modern content ideologies and digital tools to shift tourists’ perception on one hand and encourage community engagement.
