US Deputy Secretary of Defense Colin Kahl said that the conflict in Ukraine may continue for the next two to three years.

"We do not know how the conflict will evolve. It may end after six months, or after two or three years," the deputy minister added during the hearing in the US Congress, which was reported by Russia Today.

Kahl added that he hoped Congress would continue to support aid funding for Ukraine, even given current assessments of the potential conflict period.

It is noteworthy that the United States of America (USA) has provided Ukraine with about $50 billion in aid since the launch of the Russian military operation in February 2022, including more than $25 billion in military aid.

While Marjorie Taylor Green, a member of the US House of Representatives, considered that President Joe Biden's actions regarding aid to Ukraine, which she described as a country "far from democracy", are inconsistent with the US Constitution.

Green tweeted on Twitter: "It is a constitutional violation of the President of the United States and part of the Congress to provide financing, arming, training and assistance in the war ... without the full approval of Congress."
