Pentagon: US Continues to Support Ukraine

The US Pentagon announced on Saturday that the United States (US) continues to support Ukraine in its fight against the Russian military operation.

"The fighting currently calls for long-range weapons, and the United States is focusing on providing the required equipment and supplies," Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby said, declaring that Ukraine has now received 100 howitzers, along with a number of weapons.

On Friday, Kirby said that the US does not currently have armed forces in Ukraine, noting that the US Leadership's position on this issue has not changed.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman said, Saturday. that US forces have begun to train Ukrainian troops in Germany and elsewhere to use military equipment.

In press remarks, Kirby added that Washington does not set a time horizon for military aid to Kyiv, and is communicating with the Ukrainian forces daily to meet their needs.
