The Pentagon has disclosed its maximum funding allocation for Ukraine.

Colonel Garron Garn, the official spokesperson for the Department of Defense, revealed that the available funds for assisting Ukraine through the Pentagon until the end of the current fiscal amount to about $5.75 billion.

The Presidential Drawdown Authority allows the U.S. President to transfer federal assets to Ukraine by executive decision, effectively sending weapons from U.S. military depots to Ukraine.

According to official data, President Joe Biden's administration has provided over $43 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the onset of the Russian military operations in Ukraine.

Recently, President Biden submitted a request to Congress for an additional $24 billion in funding for Ukraine's needs in 2024.

However, some members of Congress strongly oppose continued military assistance to Ukraine.

On the other hand, Russia previously issued a memorandum to NATO countries regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that any shipment containing weapons for Ukraine would be a legal target for Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has also accused NATO countries of "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin has stated that increased arms supplies from the West to Ukraine do not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and could have a negative impact.

Lavrov also emphasized that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, not only through weapon supplies but also by training forces on the territories of Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
