Pasta with white sauce has countless lovers. This lovely recipe exists in every country and family with different tricks and ideas.
Don't forget that it is an essential dish for any Iftar family gathering during Ramadan. So, Egyptian blogger Mai Hendi presented a delicious pasta with white sauce recipe with professional tricks (like her mother).

Ingredients
Half a Kilo of Penne Pasta
Half a Kilo of Smashed Meat (with a good amount of fat)
2 Onions
1 Teaspoon of smashed garlic
6 Tablespoons of Flour
6 Cups of Liquids (4 Milk + 2 Stock)
6 Tablespoons of ghee and oil
Tomato Sauce
Some spices: cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, some mixed spices, salt, pepper, and a bouillon cube.
It is ok to add cheese or cooking cream or make it without the tomato sauce.
Directions
Meat Sauce
We will start with preparing the smashed meat. In a pan, add a tablespoon of ghee, then onions. Wait until it is colored, then add the garlic (You can skip it if you are not a fan of garlic). Now, put the meat, followed by some spices, salt, and pepper. Mix the mixture until all water is steamed, and the meat browned.
Add the tomato sauce and leave it until thickened.
White Sauce
Heat some ghee and oil in a pan, and add some cardamom powder, and mastic (This step will enrich the smell and taste of the sauce)
Now, add the flour and stir well with the oil and ghee until it thickened and forms a base.
Stir well until it turns to a yellow color, leave aside, add the cold milk, then stock while stirring the mixture.
Season the mixture with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and a bouillon cube, and back to heat. Mix the sauce again until it is boiled.
Don't forget to boil the pasta but don't leave it to be fully cooked.
Now, mix some of the meat sauce, some white sauce, and the pasta.
After that add some white sauce to the oven tray and add half of the mixture of pasta, then the meat sauce, and finally the rest of the pasta, before covering it with the white sauce
Make sure of spreading the white sauce well between the layers.
Bake it in a preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, before using the oven's grill.
