On Saturday, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of Parliament, sent a cable of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on the occasion of the Islamic (Hijri) new year, 1443.
On this day, Muslims celebrate 1443 years since Islam’s Prophet Muhammad -peace be upon him- migrated from Mecca to Medina, to save Muslims from torture by leaders of Quraish, an Arab tribe Muhammad was part of, and to protect the proselytism of Islam from being eradicated by disbelievers at that time.
On Friday, General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, sent a cable of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on Friday, on the occasion of the Islamic (Hijri) new year, 1443.
Lieutenant-General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces War, also sent a similar cable to the President, on the same occasion.
Furthermore, they sent cables of congratulations to the Al-Azhar Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, and Grand Mufti Dr. Shawki Allam, on the same occasion.
