A French security source told Reuters, on Wednesday, that the Eiffel Tower had been evacuated in Paris. The source was not able to confirm whether the evacuation came after a bomb threat, as some media reported.
The Eiffle reopened two hours later after the police had carried out checks in and around the monument.
The local police confirmed that officers did not find anything suspicious, but declined to provide more details about the anonymous call.
