An online streaming service is preparing to screen soon a new movie entitled "Pandemic".
The film tackles some humanitarian topics related to the Coronavirus and its repercussions.
It will also focus on the life of late veteran Egyptian actress Ragaa El-Gedawy before she died from Coronavirus in July.
In a statement, Emirati actor Salim Al-Amiri, who is busy with filming the film, expressed his happiness over his participation in the film. He plays the role of an Egyptian youth living in the United Arab Emirates.
The film is the first to focus on a part of El-Gedawy's life.
"Pandemic" comes as a recognition of her massive artistic career of El-Gedawy, and her great influence on Arab families.
Ragaa El-Gedawy battle with coronavirus
On July 5, Amira Hassan Mokhtar, the daughter of the veteran actress has announced her mother’s death at the age of 86.
El-Gedawy, whose career has spanned for over six decades, passed away after spending over 41 days battling coronavirus at the Abu Khalifa Isolation Hospital in Ismailia.
The late legendary actress tested positive for the coronavirus in May.
El-Gedawy was transferred immediately to the ICU after she felt shortness of breath, headache, and circulatory collapse in the early hours of the morning.
The veteran actress was infected with the novel coronavirus, on the 27th of Ramadan, after finished filming TV series “Leabah El Nesian” (Oblivion Game), which achieved great success during its premiere in Ramadan.
The series also stars Dina El Sherbiny, Ali Qasem, Ahmed Dawood, Mahmoud Qabeil, Injy El Mokkaddem, and others.
The cast has tested for coronavirus as they have been worried about the possibility of being infected with the virus. Later on, Actor Ali Qasem, announced that had contracted the virus.
El-Gedawy entered the isolation on the night of Eid Al-Fitr.
Tributes poured in on social media, as soon as the news circulated, wishing the star a safe and healthy recovery.
