Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Egypt on Sunday in response to an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to attend the opening session of the 12th World Urban Forum.
The Palestinian President is accompained by Hussein Al-Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization; Major General Majed Faraj, Head of General Intelligence; Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Chief Islamic Justice of Palestine and the President's Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations; Majdi Al-Khalidi, the President's Diplomatic Advisor; and Diab Al-Louh, Palestine's Ambassador to Egypt.
President Abbas was received at Cairo International Airport's presidential lounge by Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Sherif Al-Sherbini, as well as staff from the Palestinian Embassy and Delegation to the Arab League and the Consulate General of Palestine in Alexandria.
