The Palestinian presidency expressed its solidarity with the Syrian people, stressing the need to respect the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
In a statement reported by the Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, on Sunday, the Presidency affirmed the preservation of Syria’s security and stability, and respect for its independence and sovereignty over its lands.
For his part, President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed his country's position, supporting the unity and independence of the Arab countries, and preserving their sovereignty and the security of their citizens, in a way that supports the unified Arab position.
