Pakistani Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah participated in Summit on Law & Gender, Advancing Women’s Economic Participation organised by World Bank (WB) in Cairo, according to Pakistani embassay.
Pakistani Ambassador to Egypt Sajid Bilal also attended the opening session of the summit.
Justice Shah spoke on "The Role of The Judiciary in Fostering the Inclusion of Women in Economic Activity", and highlighted administrative reforms undertaken in Pakistan particularly the establishment of gender based violence courts in Pakistan.
He also noted that these reforms have been instrumental in increasing convictions of the offenders.
