The peak of the Orionids meteor shower is reaching its peak tomorrow. The duration of this magnificent sky-event lasts from Wednesday evening to dawn.
The event is a naked eye event and observing the event gets better in remote areas for having more clear skies without the visual noise of lights.
The Orionids meteor shower is so-called because its peak activity has the shower radiant in the Orion constellation.
Meteor showers are sometimes associated with comets. As a comet orbits the Sun, it releases dust. Earth passes annually through these dust streams, when this happens, the number of meteor trails seen increases.
Besides watching Orionids meteor shower, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter are still seen in the sky.
