Oman is starting vaccinating against the coronavirus, Covid-19, on Sunday, under the slogan of "Immunization and Prevention.”
According to the Oman News Agency, the Omani Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Saeedi, received the first dose of the " Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, confirming its safety.
Noteworthy, Oman received 15,600 Pfizer vaccines on Thursday, and will receive 28,000 vaccines by June.
Inpiduals with chronic illnesses and medical workers will be the first to be vaccinated.
Oman closed its borders at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday for a week to prevent the new strain of coronavirus from entering the country.
