The OIC General Secretariat’s delegation, led by Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, participated in the 16th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: Kazan Forum”, which was held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
In his message to the participants of the Forum, Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC, emphasized the importance of the Forum in fostering and strengthening cooperation between the Member States of the OIC and the Russian Federation.
He further pointed out that the partnerships fostered during the Forum would play a vital role in addressing global economic challenges, fostering sustainable development, and enhancing the prosperity of the countries.
The message of Secretary-General of the OIC was read out by Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, during the Opening Session of the 16th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” and the International Exhibition “Russia Halal Expo”.
The “Kazan Forum” included more than 100 events dedicated to exploring opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the OIC Member States and the Russian Federation in such fields as Islamic Finance and Investments; Halal industry; Agriculture, Tourism; Industry; Transportation and Logistics; Youth Entrepreneurship; Education; Medicine; Culture, Sports and Media.
