A well-placed official at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy revealed that the duration of outages and the number of dismissals of the electric current will witness a significant decline in the coming days.

The official added that the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company has introduced a program to reduce loads according to a timetable.

He affirmed that there is a relative improvement in the fuel supply to power stations.

The official pointed out that the power plants throughout the country need about 110 million cubic meters per day of natural gas during the summer months, especially on the days when loads on the national grid are expected to reach 35,000 megawatts.

He went on to say that the Ministry of Petroleum pledged that work will be done to increase the quantities of fuel pumped into power stations as much as possible.
