Officers of the Administrative Control Agency (ACA) have arrested the chairman of a board of directors of one of the companies that works in the field of electronic commerce for committing the crime of trading illegally in foreign exchange.
The suspect violated the provisions of the Central Bank Law, as the investigations of the ACA revealed that the culprit exploited of electronic transfers for purchases from abroad and dealing in the US dollar in the local market in violation of the law.
The officers submitted this information to the Financial and Commercial Affairs Prosecution Office, which authorized the arrest of the accused.
The search of the company's headquarters resulted in the seizure of electronic devices, computers, electronic payment points, and documents confirming that the suspect committed a number of crimes.
The officers also found some different foreign currencies, and an investigation into those crimes is still underway.
On the other hand, officers of the ACA also arrested a school principal for charging a parent 100,000 pounds as a bribe in exchange for violating his job duties, using his influence with his colleagues, and his subordinates at work.
The accused was referred to the Public Prosecution.
