On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of October War Victory, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki, sent a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The minister expressed his best wishes to the president on behalf of the Armed Forces on the anniversary of the victory which remains an honor to all Egyptians throughout history.
“It is my pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of October Victory, accomplished by October’s generation of the Armed Forces,” Zaki said in his congratulations’ message.
The Defense Minister noted that “October Victory is deemed as one of the greatest victories of the Arab nation in modern history.”
In the same context, Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, also sent a similar congratulation telegram to the President of the Republic on this occasion.

The Egyptian Armed forces have become a model example to be followed by in arts of wars. The brave Egyptian soldiers sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland to regain their land, rights, and dignity.
The 6th of October War has become a lesson to be taught in all current military institutions. The October War resulted in a number of positive changes in both the Arab and Regional arenas, for instance; making a change in the military standards and strategies worldwide, the Egyptian and Arab fighters restored back their confidence in themselves, leaders, and their just issue, reestablish the cooperation among all Arab countries that made the Arab world an international power.
