World's no. 2 Asal defeated world's no.1 Ali Farag in a 55-minute game 3-1 to capture the title of the Paris Squash Open for the first time in his career, and strip Farag from his title.

For the women's tournament, world's no.1 El Sherbiny retained her title to won the title back-to-back after defeating world's no.2 Nouran Gohar 3-2 in an intensive game that lasted for 64 minutes.
