Osama Youssef Shalaby, newly appointed President of Egypt’s State Council, took the constitutional oath before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday morning in the New Alamein City.
President Sisi awarded the Order of Republic, First Class, to the outgoing State Council President, Justice Ahmed Abdel Hamid Hassan Aboud, in recognition of his dedicated service to the nation and commitment to upholding justice, according to official presidential spokesman.
During his meeting with the new heads of judicial authorities, Sisi expressed his best wishes for their success in fulfilling their duties.
He emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen the rule of law, which places justice and equality at the forefront of priorities within the framework of the New Republic.
President Sisi also reaffirmed the independence of the judiciary and praised the vital role played by judicial institutions in safeguarding rights, freedoms, and property.
He highlighted their responsibility in enhancing litigation processes, preserving the integrity of the judiciary, and advancing the capabilities of its members.
