Dr. Ashraf Tadres, a Professor at (NRIAG), said that Ramadan's moon will be born on March 9, asserting the new moon won't be visible because the dark side of the moon will face the Earth.
Tadres said that the night of the New Moon is favorable for a lot of sky lovers because it would help them to observe the poo-lit celestial objects.
Previously, NRIAG Director Gad El-Kady said that the Ramadan crescent moon will be born at 11:02 am (Cairo time) on 29th Shaaban, March 10, according to the results of the institute's latest astronomical studies.
The Islamic holy month of fasting will begin in Egypt on March 11, Monday, lasting for 30 days.
Al Kady added that the newborn crescent moon will be visible in the skies of Cairo for 12 minutes after sunset, in addition, it will be visible in the skies of Mecca for 14 minutes after sunset.
