New knights for "Press of Millions"

New changes in journalism leaders  coincide with a new phase and a new era. I congratulate all colleagues in all journalism institutions, and they are all prominent figures in the world of journalism, but this time I talk about my institution, Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation.

They are young men with a respectable journalistic history. They are four knights who must carry the banner of Akhbar Al-Youm institution and restore its position "the press of millions" , whether the electronic copy or th print one.

The new knights are Islam Afifi as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Osama Al-Saeed as Editor-in-Chief of Al-Akhbar, Mustafa Abdo as Editor-in-Chief of the portal , and Mahmoud Bassiouni as Editor-in-Chief of Akhbar Al-Youm.

Islam Afifi is my colleague and I have been following up his work  since he was a representative of Akhbar Al-Youm in the Ministry of Culture. We traveled a lot on business trips and I know how diligent and professional he is. He is a prominent journalist and the editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al-Nojoom. We expect a lot from him to reform the administrative and financial conditions and structures of our institutions. 

As for Dr. Osama Al-Saeed, the editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar, I'm considering him as my son since he joined the staff of Al-Akhbar newspaper, he was training with me in the investigations department, and I asked Mr. Galal Dowidar-may God have mercy on him -  to appoint him. Osama proved his excellence. He began his career in the investigations department, then parliament, and then presidential activity. He obtained a doctorate in addition to his literary activity.

My colleague Mustafa Abdo, editor-in-chief of the electronic portal, is an active journalista, he specialized in education and was responsible for the distinguished education page in Al Akhbar.

In fact, I praise the article of our colleague Amr Al-Khayyat in Akhbar Al-Youm yesterday, in which he hands over the banner to one of his sons whom he took great care of. He is Mahmoud Bassiouni, the distinguished journalist who has media experience. I wish him success from my heart, he will be the best successor to the best predecessor, Amr Al-Khayyat, who added a lot to Akhbar Al-Youm to keep it as a distinguished newspaper. My greetings to him and to my colleague Khaled Miry, the former editor-in-chief of Al-Akhbar who has a distinguished and graceful style. He is a member in the Council of the Journalists Syndicate. He stands with colleagues in any problem, and has a strong network of relationships.

My greetings to my colleague Mohamed Al-Bahnasawy, former editor in chief of the Akhbar Al-Youm portal. I wish them all success in their next steps.
