NATO Official: Confrontation with Russia May Erupt at Any Moment

Rob Bauer, the head of the Military Committee of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) stressed the importance of the alliance's readiness for the outbreak of confrontation with Russia at any moment.

He indicated that the dire situation necessitates the need to strengthen joint defense among the member states of the alliance during the next stage in light of the "increasing Russian aggressive behavior."

Bauer said: "We must be prepared for the fact that a conflict could knock on our doors at any moment. He revealed that NATO's military services are monitoring plans for Russia's increasingly aggressive behavior.

“Together we have achieved the most significant build-up since the Cold War, but this work is not finished," he added according to Russia Today.

Bauer went on to say that integration in military planning at the "NATO" and national levels will allow the alliance to ensure that all its countries work together.
