Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), considered that if Ukraine did not win, there would be no point in discussing its membership in the alliance in principle.

According to the Russian “Sputnik” agency, Stoltenberg said during a forum in Brussels on Wednesday: “The most important thing today is to ensure that (Russian President Vladimir) Putin does not win and that Ukraine remains as a sovereign state if Ukraine is not able to exist as a democratic state.” Sovereign and independent in Europe, there will be no topic for discussing its membership in general.

Stoltenberg added that the coalition in this case now needs to "show unity to support Ukraine in the face of aggression launched by Russian forces since the twenty-fourth of last February."

It is worth noting that the Russian forces are facing many problems in the face of the Ukrainian defenses, which receive unlimited support from European countries and the United States of America.
