In response to urgent requests from Ukraine, NATO has delivered 65 ambulances to the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of an extensive aid package.
The NATO Representative Office in Ukraine confirmed the donation in a recent social media announcement, emphasizing that this medical support is a vital part of NATO’s overarching assistance strategy.
The aid package, first established at NATO’s Madrid Summit in 2022, was expanded during the 2023 Vilnius Summit, where allies committed to transforming it into a multi-year support initiative for Ukraine.
This plan covers immediate, medium-term, and long-term assistance aimed at fortifying Ukraine's defensive and logistical capabilities.
Looking ahead, NATO reaffirmed its commitment at the 2024 Washington Summit, where allies pledged a historic €40 billion for security support throughout the coming year.
This new funding and expanded aid package reflect NATO’s commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s resilience against ongoing threats.
