Nation's Future Party rejected, Saturday, the European Parliament’s statement, on the human rights situation in Egypt, stressing  that it is politicized, unbalanced and based on double standards.

“The statement has double standard, as it did not address difficult humanitarian situations, such as the crises in Syria, Libya, Yemen and other countries, which are experiencing political issues that violate the peaceful settlement due to the international conflict,” the party stated.

The party also pointed out that there are parts of the statement, express a political approach basing on hearings of some members from terrorist Brotherhood, who fled in the European countries.

“The statement only shows inaccuracies, and inconsistencies regarding the figures it dealt with in the so-called ‘Forced Disappearance’, which has been proven in most of the incidents that it has a terrorist background,” the party asserted, noting that “The European Parliament is using the rules of international humanitarian law for political purposes, and the evidences are clear in Libya, Syria and Yemen.”

It affirmed that the strategic relations between Egypt and European countries are more important than the issuance of such politicized and unbalanced statement, coming from one of the institutions known for its unjustified positions towards the Egyptian state under the cover of human rights.

The party noted that the statement did not address the efforts of the Egyptian state in combating terrorism and achieving security for citizens, as achieving security is one of the human rights, stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
