An African politician named after the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, won the parliamentary elections in Namibia, as he spoke saying that he had no plans to take over or nominate the world.

According to "Sky News", politician Adolf Hitler won Uunona with 85 percent of the vote, and was elected to the Regional Council for the ruling "South West African People's Organization" party (SWAPO).

The politician commented on his victory by saying: "I neither seek political power, nor dominate the world."

Thus, he insisted in an interview with the German newspaper "Bild" that there was nothing to link him with Nazi ideology.

Uunona said that his wife calls him Adolf as well as the rest of the people and he has no plans to change his name, noting that the name Adolf is common in Namibia.

It is noteworthy that the Republic of Namibia was a German colony between 1884 and 1915, and the German language is recognized as one of the national languages in Namibia, and it is considered the main spoken language in some parts of the country.
