An Armenian official announced today, Wednesday, that the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region has led to the displacement of half of the region's population due to the attacks of Azerbaijan, according to "Sky News Arabia".

The Nagorno-Karabakh region said that the conflict with Azerbaijan resulted in the death of 40 soldiers today, bringing the total number to 280.

The attacks carried out by Azerbaijan continues on the capital of the Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to Al Arabiya" correspondent.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, on Wednesday, that his country faced a “terrorist attack” from Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Pashinyan explained that what Turkey has been doing in Nagorno-Karabakh “is part of the continuation of the Armenian genocide, and an attempt to restore the Ottoman Empire,” according to Sky News.

“The situation is much more serious (than previous clashes in 2016),” Pashinyan stated in an interview with ‘Le Figaro’ newspaper  on Thursday. “It would be more appropriate to compare it with what happened in 1915, when more than 1.5 million Armenians were slaughtered during the first genocide of the 20th century.”

“The Turkish state, which continues to deny the past, is once again venturing down a genocidal path.” he added.
