A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) strongly condemned Israel's recent large-scale military attacks and acts of terrorism against Lebanon, which have resulted in significant civilian casualties. In a statement given to KCNA, the spokesperson criticized Israel for its "brutality and shamelessness," accusing it of committing war crimes under the guise of "self-defense" and "security."
The DPRK's Foreign Ministry denounced the attacks as "a hideous war crime and unethical crime" and expressed outrage over the continued violence, likening Israel's actions in Lebanon to the earlier massacres in Gaza, which shocked the international community. The spokesperson also condemned the United States for backing Israel, calling both nations "cancer-like entities" undermining peace and stability in the Middle East.
North Korea reiterated its firm support for the Arab people, particularly the Palestinians, and emphasized that the key to lasting peace in the region lies in recognizing the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state and halting Israel's aggression against Arab countries.
The DPRK called for an immediate end to Israel's military actions and the U.S.'s role in enabling them, voicing solidarity with Arab nations in their struggle for sovereignty, the right to existence, and territorial integrity.
