Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Human Rights Committee Tarek Radwan said Wednesday that human rights' frameworks should differ from society to another.
"Human rights is a set of frameworks defined in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights," he tweeted earlier today.
He added that "Each society has a nature and its societal structure is organized within the framework of packages, programs and implementation mechanisms."
Radwan condemned recent accusations made by the United Nations (UN) special rapporteur in Jan.
The committee commented on circulated reports regarding the Egyptian judiciary detaining prisoners in pre-trial detention. It said that these detentions come in accordance with precise legal grounds according to Egyptian Criminal Law.
The committee said that the advancement of the Egyptian citizen and their basic rights are now taking place in a democratic atmosphere.
