Amira Saber, a member of the House of Representatives, provided recommendations to the developing and developed countries to combat the climate change.

This came during the IPU meetings on the sidelines on COP-27.

The recommendations are as follows:

For developed countries:

I urge you to commit to ensuring that these funds are nonrepayable grants that support the technological and infrastructural transformations of recipient countries.

You also should ensure that these contributions are comparable to your country's size of economy and green gas emissions

I also urge you to provide incentives from your parliamentarian work such as tax cuts or preferential treatment for the private sector to mobilize funds for the developing countries overseas.

To ensure transparency by instructing ministers of finance to publish a detailed account of climate activities, and finance technology transfer, which is supported overseas.

For the developing countries:

We also have a role as parliamentarians to negotiate better climate deals with the development partners and insist on more suitable modalities that won't exacerbate that profile and prioritize climate investment with foreign investors, donors, and development projects.

To designate a climate budget within our local state budget something, which I introduced a bit before coming to COP27.

We could definitely accelerate climate finance, by ensuring that funds receipts are not misappropriated or misused.
