The Morocco U-17 national team exited the FIFA U-17 World Cup after suffering a devastating last-minute defeat to their Brazilian counterparts, losing 2–1 in the match played this evening, Friday, in the quarter-finals of the tournament currently being held in Qatar.

The young Brazilian star Dehl scored the opening goal in the 16th minute.

After that, Ziyad Baha equalised for Morocco against Brazil from a penalty kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Then, in the fifth minute of stoppage time of the match, Dehl snatched a dramatic winning goal for the Seleção, sending them into the semi-finals.

The Morocco U-17 team had achieved an important victory over Mali, winning 3–2 in a match full of excitement until the very last moments, as the “Atlas Cubs” continued to deliver strong performances reflecting the progress of Moroccan football at youth levels.

After receiving heavy criticism following their opening match losses to Japan (2–0) and Portugal (6–0), the Morocco U-17 team made a stunning comeback, recording the biggest win in FIFA World Cup history with a 16–0 victory over North Macedonia.

On the other hand, although the Brazil U-17 team started the tournament strongly with resounding wins over Honduras (7–0) and Indonesia (4–0), they were then forced to exert great effort to secure a draw against Zambia (1–1) in the third round.
