Today, Saturday, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that more than 500 people had suffocated due to the dust storms that hit the country on Friday, according to the Iraqi News Agency.
The spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, said that "the institutions of the Ministry of Health in Baghdad and other provinces received more than 515 cases of suffocation, as a result of the dust storm that occurred in several regions of the country on Friday, indicating that the cases of the injured are different."
Al-Badr added that "the necessary health care has been provided to the choked people, and their health condition is being monitored, under the supervision of Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi, and that ambulances are on the alert to avoid any problems."
Al-Badr confirmed that most of the injured have been discharged from hospitals, stressing that no deaths have been recorded among citizens.
