A common thief stole the purse of a housewife, before Mina “The Metro Martyr” tried to get back her bag before he and the suspect got tackled and fell into the railways of the Metro before meeting his end.
The suspect was apprehended by the police forces and sent to the prosecution office where he is set to go under trial.

The incident started when general Ashraf El-Gendy, the head of the security in Cairo received a call from the Traffic police that a young man called Mina Reda in his twenties met his end under the Metro railways.
The ministry of interior’s investigations concluded that the suspect has a criminal record in stealing bags of the elderly. The investigations also revealed that both men fell into the railways, but the criminal was able to escape leaving Mina to meet his death.
However, there have been contradicting reports the criminal actually pushed Mina into the railways of the Metro, the public prosecutor's office is set to reveal their official statements within the upcoming hours.
