Mexico's President t Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador contracted COVID-19 for the third time, media outlets revealed on Monday.
Lopez Obrador suspended a tour to the Yucatan Peninsula, Sunday, after testing positive for the virus.
He announced the news on social media, saying: "It isn't serious."
López Obrador, who had several occupations with heart problems, expressed that he would be isolated for "a few days.".
He added: "My heart is 100% and as I have had to suspend the tour, I will be in Mexico City and celebrating, although from afar, the 16th birthday of (his son) Jesús Ernesto," he wrote.
López Obrador contracted the virus for the first time in early 2021 and recovered, then he had come down with COVID-19 for the second time, after a few months.
