Threads, Meta's Twitter rival, is now struggling with the number of daily active users as it counted down by about four-fifth since its launch, days after it broke records as the fastest-growing application.
Threads reached 100 million users, breaking the record of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
However, the application is, now, facing challenges in retaining its user base, according to Sensor Tower.
The analysis of the company revealed that the daily active user count of Threads is decreased by 82 percent since the app’s launch.
Sensor Tower added that fewer users are opening the app and spending less time there.
It added that Threads’ daily active user count declines by 1%.
Similarweb said in its blog: “Threads took off like a rocket, with its close linkage to Instagram as the booster. However, the developers of Threads will need to fill in missing features and add some new and unique ones if they want to make checking the app a daily habit for users.”
