Zamalek's chairman Mortada Mansour has filed a complaint to the Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhi over the recent decision issued by the Egyptian Olympic Committee, which suspended him from practicing any sporting activity for four years.

In a statement, Mansour thanked the White's fans for their support after the decision as to the committee also called for running new elections for the White Knights’ presidency.

“I thank the respectful fans of Zamalek for their support in the recent crisis and the decisions issued by the Egyptian Olympic Committee," Mansour said in a statement. "I also thank Al Ahly SC fans who also supported me."

"I would like to inform Zamalek fans, as I knew from some websites that they intend to protest in solidarity with me, that I have announced on Zamalek's channel a while ago that Egypt is more important than Mortada Mansour and I am afraid that some of Muslim Brotherhood terrorists will infiltrate among them and exploit their gatherings to spread chaos," he added.

"This is completely unacceptable. I am going to claim my right according to the law, like what I did two years ago after the same Olympic Committee imposed a 2-year ban on me," Mansour elaborated.

"I filed a lawsuit before the great Egyptian judiciary and submitted documents confirming the illegality of the decision and the court canceled its decision."

"Today I filed a complaint the Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi asking him to implement Article 1 of Law 71 of 2017 and the rest of the articles of this law to annul the Olympic Committee's decision," the White Knights' chairman noted.

"Therefore, I urge the masses to unite not behind Mortada Mansour, but our country, Egypt, in the ongoing circumstances and avoid traitors and agents, who try in various ways to create chaos."
