The US National Weather Service warned of a major winter storm as of today Saturday in the central United States, accompanied by heavy snowfall, dangerous ice accumulations, and extremely cold temperatures, before moving eastward in the coming days, according to AP.
The agency indicated in a report on Saturday that the storm is expected to affect “millions of people” in the eastern two-thirds of the United States.
The West Coast of the United States witnessed severe weather fluctuations on Friday afternoon, which led to rain in the Pacific Northwest region.
These fluctuations are expected to lead to the formation of a large-scale winter storm, extending across the central plains to the central Atlantic region, during the weekend and until the beginning of next week.
