Magnitude 4.2 Earthquake Strikes Western Turkey

A Magnitude 4.2 Earthquake hit Gulf of Kuşadası coasts in Eden state, western Turkey Monday.

The Turkish Disaster And Emergency Management stated that the tremor occurred at 11:30 pm off the Gulf of Kuşadası.

She explained that the quake occurred at a distance of 18 km from the Gulf and at a depth of 6.98 km below sea level."

Last week, the Turkish authorities announced that the death toll from the powerful earthquake that hit Izmir city rose to 100.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan inspected the search and rescue operations in Izmir after it was hit by a strong earthquake.
