Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived this morning, Friday, in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, after a 12-hour train trip from the Polish border, as part of a delegation of heads of the joint African initiative to contribute to settling the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Madbouly heads the Egyptian delegation, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during the delegation's visit to Ukraine and Russia.
The delegation of the joint African initiative includes the presidents of South Africa, Senegal, Comoros, Uganda and Zambia, and a representative of the Republic of the Congo, in addition to Egypt.
The African delegation is scheduled to hold talks today with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, to present the elements of the joint African initiative to settle the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, then this will be followed by a joint press conference.
