Outgoing President Emmanuel Macron responded to Le Pen’s announcement during the presidential debate broadcasted by French Channels that if Le Pen intended to ban the hijab, she would create a” civil war.”
His statement came in response to Le Pen’s statement that she intends to ban the hijab in public spaces, which is imposed by “the Islamists”, according to her belief.
“With me, there will be no ban on headscarves, yarmulkes and religious signs,” the President said.
